Since 2021 got better for travel, we took a five day road trip to see family members, and long time friends. We drove to the northwestern part of Arkansas and stayed with cousins for the first two days. My sister came to join us, making it a small reunion.

We saw beautiful water ways up there, wishing we had a boat but being with our family was more important. The second evening we visited Branson, MO. for supper and a show. We saw the Haygoods in concert and loved the talent. Branson was full of theatres, attractions (that were decently priced), museums and shopping malls getting ready for Christmas.

My favorite place was the Silver Dollar City. It was absolutely stunning a few years back in December 2013 so I hope to be able to see it again some time soon. Lots of the restaurants servers would not only serve your food but sing and entertain you. It truly is a fun place with no shortage of family indoor and outdoor things to do.

On our third day, we drove to Ottawa, Kansas and stayed with our family members there and mostly caught up after not seeing each other for about 30 years. We stayed an extra day for the rest and relaxation, and the updated photos and stories that went with them.

The fifth day we stopped in Wichita, Kansas to meet a cousin for the first time that we found out about before our aunt passed. She was just as beautiful as I could have imagined. Much older and more fun like our aunt was. So, now we keep in touch and share our weekly events.

Our whole vacation was fun, lovely schenery, and enjoyable. I cannot wait to do it again. I love having fun with family especially in our older ages.
