As you can tell, all I can think about this time of year is gathering of friends and family. So, here are my thoughts on what I will be bringing to our parties this year.

Spice Dip

  • 1/4 C. packed brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • Dash of ground nutmeg
  • 2 C. of your favorite whipped topping (we like Cool Whip)
  1. Mix sugar and spice (everything nice).
  2. Gently stir into whipped topping.
  3. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Tips:

  • You can spoon into a serving bowl.
  • Garnish with additional cinnamon.
  • Or serve with fat free pound cake cubes, cookies, or melon, strawberry, peach, pear, kiwi, or apple slices.

Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

  • 1 C. flour 1/2 C, milk
  • 2 tsp. baking Powder 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1/4 tsp. salt 1 C. brown sugar
  • 3/4 C, sugar 1/4 C, cocoa
  • 2 tsp.cocoa 1 3/4 C. hot water
  1. Thoroughly Combine first 5 ingredients in the mixing bowl.
  2. Blend in milk and shortening, spread in greased 9″x13″ pan.
  3. Sprinkle 1/4 cup cocoa and brown sugar on top of batter. Pour water over the entire top of the cake.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

This is a yummy dessert. We love it.
